VAT and Tax Planning
We can offer tax planning advice on a wide spectrum, including issues from the perspective of capital gains tax, inheritance tax, income tax, VAT and National Insurance. We can advise on the use of trusts and on succession planning. In the business tax area, we can offer input on issues for individuals, partnerships and companies, particularly in the field of tax-efficient remuneration packages.
Financial Planning
We are not authorised independent financial advisors and we do not offer specific advice on any investment products. However, we are able to work with our clients in developing a strategic plan for their own overall financial planning. We then work with independent financial advisors to implement the strategic plan developed. We have a number of IFAs who we work with quite closely to provide our clients with a complete service.
Tax compliance
We deal with Self Assessment Tax Returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies and provide you with a computation of the tax liability. Our experience of Inland Revenue enquiries means that we can negotiate on your behalf to achieve the best possible settlement. We offer comprehensive fee protection cover under the auspices of the Bank of Scotland which will meet the costs of an enquiry. Our payroll bureau can provide advice on all aspects of PAYE and NIC.
