Due to our continued success and growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, motivated and dynamic Tax Professional to join our Personal Tax Team.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Tax Manager with the preparation of tax returns, P11d’s, and also Income & Expenditure accounts and rental accounts. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in tax, alongside previous experience working within a tax or accountancy role. A professional qualification such as the ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA is required for this position, however a part qualified status will be also considered. The role demands the successful candidate to possess a meticulous nature in order to ensure all work is accurate, together with strong communication and organisational skills. Flexibility will also be required in order to accommodate busy periods of the year.
Responsibilities
· Preparation of self-assessment Tax Returns and calculating tax liabilities.
· Preparation of forms P11’ds.
· Preparation of Income and Expenditure accounts and rental accounts.
· Liaising directly with clients as required.
· Assisting the Tax Manager as and when required on matters such as HMRC investigations and one off assignments such as capital allowance reviews.
· Liaising with HMRC in respect of various client matters.
· Liaising with external parties including solicitors, other accountants and IFA’s.
· Future tax planning for high net-worth individuals.
· The role will have a focus on compliance and advisory.
Qualifications
ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent).
Required Skills
· 2 years previous experience within a tax or accountancy role.
· Strong timekeeping skills.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to relay complex taxation issues in a straightforward manner.
· An up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation.
· Excellent organisational and attention to detail skills.
· A meticulous nature in order to ensure all work is accurate.
· IT literate.
Pay range and compensation package
