Working closely with the Tax Manager and the personal tax tea, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of tax returns, P11d’s, and also Income & Expenditure accounts and rental accounts.

You should have a keen interest in tax, alongside previous experience working within a tax or accountancy role.

A professional qualification such as the ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA is required for this position, however a part qualified status will be also considered.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of self-assessment Tax Returns and calculating tax liabilities.
  • Preparation of forms P11’ds.
  • Preparation of Income and Expenditure accounts and rental accounts.
  • Liaising directly with clients as required.
  • Assisting the Tax Manager as and when required on matters such as HMRC investigations and one-off assignments such as capital allowance reviews.
  • Liaising with HMRC in respect of various client matters.
  • Liaising with external parties including solicitors, other accountants and IFA’s.
  • Future tax planning for high net-worth individuals.
  • The role will have a focus on compliance and advisory.

About you

You will be studying or qualified in any of ATT/CTA/ACA/ACCA and will have at least three years’ experience in a Personal or Mixed/OMB tax focused role.

Importantly, you will be a confident, ambitious character who is driven to learn and progress in a career in tax practice. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a positive attitude to problem solving.
